Example Mixups

To give you a basic idea of what kind of mix Adachi can do

  • ... > [214A~]236A/B > C+D or 214C/D

Basic throw mix that Adachi can be setup during any of his blockstring, grabbing your opponent is going to be one of your main way to open people up. Be careful of timing the grab as you as you can accidently miss it because they were still in block stun so to be sure to learn when it is the right time to throw, lab it out and get a good feel of when you're good to go on grabbing them.

  • 5A > jc > IAD > Air Turn > j.B > ...

Decent crossup mix, can only be done from 5A. Use this to catch people off guard and see if the opponent is awake, other than that it's not that hard to block so don't use this often.

  • ... > 214A > DP

High risk fake overhead that can be used to open your opponent up, you can use SB Gunshot to make you not using DP have a gap. Use this in scenarios where you need to open someone up to secure a game, other than that you don't get much reward landing this midscreen or without meter. Very minus on block, cancel into a super like Heat Riser to keep yourself safe. You can also do some cheese if you do 214214C before the second hit of your DP comes out, but it only works if they are close.

  • ... > 214A~236A/B > AoA

Another overhead option. Although the setup is more obvious, you get much more reward than using DP. On hit you get a decent amount of meter and corner carry. If you're near the corner however you can easily convert the AoA into a really good combo.
