Safejump Setups

Don't stop me now (I'm having such a good time)

Common Safejump Setups

  • 236A~A

After 236A~A you want to immediately do IAD j.C or j.B based on your preference, a easy and solid safejump setup that is used after most meterless BnBs.

  • ... 5B > 2B > j.2C

Depending on how prorated the combo is or how far away you are from the opponent, you want to either delay the IAD j.B until j.2C (2) ends or immediately do it whenever you can. You'll mostly be doing this safejump when the opponent is in the corner or if they are about to be.

  • ... > j.2C > j.2D

Same deal with the other corner safejump, and again depending on combo proration you either want to delay your IAD j.B or go for it immediately. This is a corner exclusive safejump, as j.2D won't hit midscreen

  • ... > Land Cancel j.2D > IABD j.C > 236C

Safejump setup that uses Land Cancels to inflict fear on the opponent. After you delay IABD j.C as much as you can, you cancel j.C into 236C and go for IAD j.C immediately. Use this when you want to make sure the next hit you do will make the opponent hurt, it's also great to use this if the combo will end before the enemy gets the awakening threshold off.
