The Magatsu Mandala buff gives Adachi the ability to inflict different status ailments when using his Persona moves.
This buff can allow you to bring back the round into your favor, and makes you a menace when it is activated. Your entire gameplan when you're in a dire situation relies around this Awakening Super, but getting it and effectively using it can be tough.
When the buff is active, your Persona moves (which are commonly referred to as the C or D buttons) can inflict a status ailment depending what move the enemy was hit by. Below is the list of what ailment can be inflicted depending on which move you have hit the enemy with.
Poison: 5C, 2C, j.2C, Heat Riser
Shock: 5D, 2D, j.2D, Megidola
Panic/Confusion: Atom Smasher, Magatsu Mandala
Silence: Ghastly Wail, Magatsu Mandala
Fear: 5C (3), 2C (2), j.2C (2), Atom Smasher, Heat Riser, Ghastly Wail
Additionally, Ghastly Wail will always do the extra stabs when the buff is active.
All of the status ailments last for 300F, the only exception to this is Poison, which last for 180F.
While the Magatsu Mandala buff is really strong, you can only inflict up to 3 ailments at a time, any new ailment inflicted will replace the oldest ailment inflicted. Furthermore, if you manage to lose all 4 cards and your Persona gets broken, you will lose the buff. You should be extra careful when you are about to lose your persona with this buff active, as it is your main comeback factor when things are not in your favor.
